The short version
BlockScore sends the minimum location information needed to resolve an address and request nearby evidence. Live reports, live-address notes, resident drafts and commute destinations are session-only in the current build. Sample preferences and sample-workflow choices may remain on the device until cleared.
What a request can include
- Typed address search text and a selected Canadian civic address.
- The selected coordinate when asking public-data providers for nearby evidence.
- A destination and origin sent to Apple Maps only when you request a commute estimate.
- Preferences, listing facts and comparison choices used inside the app.
- App Store transaction and entitlement status when BlockScore+ purchases are enabled.
Current early-access providers
National lookup may contact Natural Resources Canada, federal infrastructure/transit services and OpenStreetMap infrastructure. Toronto reports may also contact City of Toronto and Toronto Police Service public-data endpoints. Apple Maps handles a requested route estimate beside its corresponding map. Providers can receive normal network information such as an IP address.
Storage and sharing
The current app has no BlockScore account or report-storage server. It does not advertise or sell a person’s address query. Temporary share-card images use random filenames and are removed after use, dismissal, clearing saved data, or a later launch. A production backend will require a separately approved retention schedule.
Your controls
The profile screen can clear saved local preferences, samples and usage state. Reinstalling also removes app-local data. If accounts are added, BlockScore will add in-app account deletion and a server-side privacy request process before launch.
Important release gate
This preview intentionally does not invent a company name, mailing address, privacy officer or email. Public release is blocked until the accountable organization, processing inventory, retention schedule, cross-border details, safeguards, rights process and regulator language are reviewed and published.
